Hey people of the page. Hope everyone had a lovely holiday season and a happy new year to you all. It is also the time of the year when people make all of these resolutions that will fall by the wayside by the time Game of Thrones premieres. Yes, you want to quit smoking or go to the gym more often or eat healthier. All great intentions, however, backed by the wrong type of motivation to make these sustainable and permanent changes.
A client of mine recently said that the problem with resolutions is that they are all rooted in the past as well as rooted in something we did wrong. Therefore, the intention is based on lack and/or something that is intrinsically wrong with you. Also, the word resolution seems so cliche and lacks any meaning. According to A Course In Miracles, we only have one problem – our thoughts of separation from God. Therefore, there is nothing intrinsically wrong with us, there is something faulty with our thinking.
This got me to thinking about this New Year’s, which is one of my favorite holidays. I didn’t want to make any resolutions for the very reasons that I have noted above. I wanted to manifest and co-create with God and the universe, which is my right as long as my thinking is aligned with God’s. So I had it – no resolutions – let’s manifest and create what I want my life to be like for 2015.
Here goes folks – I have two things that I will manifest and create for my life in 2015″
1 – A loving and mutually reciprocal relationship that I have always dreamed of but didn’t think I deserved until I finally let go of all of the clutter in my way (no, not just HIM, as there was lot’s of relationship clutter there before him).
2 – Be a light, primarily to gay men seeking spiritual solutions, by not only providing direct service contact but also through social media, digital products, and eventually a book (which this blog is a precursor for).
Now, the one way that I know that I can create and manifest these things is by keeping my thoughts aligned with my Source. This entails much self care as well as vigilance as that ego mind of mine’s will quickly plant that tiny mad idea into my head and make me into a lunatic.
So instead of thinking of what new fad you want to resolute for this year, think instead of what you want to create and manifest in your life. Instead of “I’m gonna quit smoking” think “I am going to create and manifest healthy habits to live at my fullest physical potential.” See what happens when you reframe your resolutions to things that you want to create and manifest and see what happens then.
